VA - SE - Historic Triangle

VA - Virginia’s Historic Triangle: Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown http://www.visitwilliamsburg.com/

Williamsburg Historic - Step back more than 220 years to the eve of the American Revolution.
From 1699 to 1780, Williamsburg was the political and cultural center of Britain’s largest colony in the New World. Highlights are the colonial printing press, cookhouse, blacksmith, and the stocks or pillory. From 64 Exit 242 from I64 (page 25 and 43)

Williamsburg Historic - George Wythe House.- Buy tickets at the Visitor's Center, after dark, the play begins. You are divided into groups of six (there were four groups). The groups move from place to place to see what's going on in the house and outside the house in the slave quarters. It's almost like viewing a "soap" on television. Of course, the slave/master relationships are the central theme of the play. Only candles and torches were used, which gave an authentic aura tot he play. I must say, we loved it. Balladeers rouse guests in period sing-alongs, and costumed servers play popular games of the day.
